Who we are

Built For Life Home Improvements is a trading name of TCME Pty Ltd (ABN 97 636 887 093), a South Australian business. When this page says "we", that is who it means.

What we collect

What you give us: your name, phone number, the address of the property, your email if you choose to add it, the services you are interested in, and anything you write in your message. With the enquiry we also keep how you found the site (see Cookies and tracking below). When we quote, we also keep the quote, any photos or drawings of the property, and our notes.

Why

To ring you back, come and look at the job, quote it, and if you go ahead, do the work and invoice for it. That is all. We do not sell your details, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

Where it goes

• The enquiry form sends your details to our office by email, using an email delivery service (Resend). A copy is kept in our quoting system, which runs on Cloudflare.
• As you type an address, what you have typed so far is sent to the South Australian Government's address service (Location SA), and occasionally to OpenStreetMap, to suggest matching addresses. Nothing else about you goes with it.
• If we do the job, the crew and any trade working on it see what they need to do it: the address, your name and phone number, and the scope. They do not see prices.
• The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts, which means Google sees your IP address when a page opens.

Cookies and tracking

We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read, and the Meta Pixel and Google Ads tags to see whether our ads lead to enquiries. These set cookies and send Google and Meta details such as the pages you viewed, your rough location and the type of device. They do not get your name, phone number or address from us.

When you send the enquiry form, we also note how you found us (for example a Google search or a Facebook ad) so we know which advertising works. It is stored with your enquiry.

While a page is open, your browser also tells our own website, every 30 seconds, which page is open, whether it is a phone or a computer, and how you found us. This uses a random number kept in your browser, not your name or IP address, so we can see how many people are on the site. These records are deleted after about a week.

You can block these cookies in your browser settings, use Google's opt-out add-on, or change your Meta ad preferences. The site works the same without them.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into a quote are deleted after twelve months. Quotes and job records are kept for as long as we need them for warranty, tax and legal reasons.

Seeing, changing or removing your details

Ask us and we will tell you what we hold, fix anything that is wrong, or remove it where the law lets us. Email [email protected] or ring 1800 284 584.
