Gable carport
Brooklyn Park. Colorbond® carport with a red roof to match the house
Your car is probably the second most expensive thing you own, and in Adelaide it spends most of its life in the sun or waiting for the next hailstorm. We design and build custom carports across Adelaide and South Australia, drawn for your house before a post goes in the ground.
Carports are one of the jobs we do most, from single carports down the side of the house to double gable carports across the front.
Every carport we build is drawn for the house it is going on. We measure the site, draw it in CAD, and show you a 3D picture of how it will sit against your roofline and bricks before you decide.
Flat, gable and dutch gable, freestanding or attached, in the full Colorbond® colour range. Engineered for South Australian wind loads, with the council paperwork done as part of the job.

Every carport is drawn to suit the house, so it looks like it was always there.
We measure on site and give you a fixed price in writing, with the 3D picture, before you commit.
Greater Adelaide and the Hills every day, and regularly right across the state. Not sure if we come to you? Ring and ask. The answer is usually yes.
All of it is written into the quote before we start.
Colorbond® steel, made and tested for Australian weather. The same shades are available in UniCote® steel if you want the longer coastal warranty. Tap a swatch to see it on a roof profile.
All eight are available across our carport range, and the full Colorbond® palette has 22. Colours look different on a phone, so we bring real samples to the quote and hold them against your bricks.
How long a roof lasts depends mostly on the coating on the steel, so it is worth choosing before the steel is ordered.
We can supply your carport roof in UniCote®, an Australian pre-painted steel with two grades chosen by how close you are to the sea. Both are tested to the Australian standard for pre-painted steel (AS/NZS 2728).
Both sides are coated. The steel core never touches the weather.
The standard sheet for most of Adelaide and inland SA.
Warranty up to 45 yearsA thicker coating with magnesium added, which seals the cut edges where steel usually rusts first.
Warranty up to 50 yearsThere is no one number. The warranty is written for your address, based on how far you are from the water and what is going on the roof. We lodge it before the steel is ordered and it comes back within 48 hours, so you have it in hand before the sheets arrive. Like every steel warranty it needs the roof washed down now and then. We will tell you how often.
UniCote® has 21 standard colours plus three matt finishes, and a larger range if you want something different. Same rule as always: we bring samples, you hold them against the house.
Someone gets up on the roof or into the space and photographs what is there. You see the photos. No sales pitch.
For carports and verandahs we draw it in CAD and show you a 3D picture. Every job gets a written quote with the scope and inclusions spelled out.
Where council approval or engineering is needed, we prepare and lodge it. Then we book a start date and tell you what to expect each day.
Licensed trades, on site when we said, working to the quoted scope. If something unexpected turns up we stop and speak to you first.
We clear the site, sweep the driveway and lawn for screws, and take every offcut away. Then we walk the finished job with you and pass on the maker's warranty for the materials, so you are left with a job done properly and nothing to chase up.
It depends on the size, the roof style, whether it attaches to the house, and the footings. We measure on site, draw it in 3D and give you a fixed price in writing, including engineering and council where they are needed.
In most South Australian councils, yes. We do the engineering paperwork and lodge it for you.
Design and approval is the slow part. Once approved, most carports go up in two to four days depending on size and footings.
Usually, and it almost always looks better when it does. We flash it into the existing roofline so it looks like part of the house.
Undercover parking is one of the things Adelaide buyers ask about. A carport that matches the house adds far more than one that obviously does not.
“Great communication, good vision, creativity… I didn’t have to source other people. It was all organised for me.”
“You want someone who’s going to take charge of everything.”
Free on-site quote. We ring you to book a time, come and look, and give you a fixed price in writing. If it can wait, we will tell you.
