Ziptrak® outdoor blinds in Adelaide
A verandah gives you shade. Blinds give you a room. Ziptrak® runs in a side track with no ropes or zips, so it seals the edges and you can use the space in weather that would normally send you inside.
What we do
Ziptrak® is designed and made here in Adelaide. The blind runs in a track on each side, stops wherever you leave it, and seals the edges so wind and rain do not come around the sides.
We fit clear PVC for winter, tinted PVC for glare, and mesh for summer shade and privacy. Most alfrescos end up with a mix, depending on which way each opening faces.
Choosing the right blind material
Most alfrescos end up with a mix, depending on which way each opening faces.
- Clear PVC. Keeps the view and blocks wind and rain, for using the space in winter.
- Tinted PVC. Cuts glare on the sides that get the afternoon sun.
- Mesh. Shade and privacy in summer while the breeze still comes through.
- Manual or motorised. Motorised suits wide openings and blinds you use every day.
What affects the cost of Ziptrak® blinds
We measure every opening on site and give you a fixed price in writing.
- Size of each opening. Wider and taller blinds cost more.
- Number of blinds. Doing the whole area at once is better value.
- Material. Clear, tinted or mesh.
- Manual or motorised. And whether you want remote or smart-home control.

How a job runs
We come and look
Someone gets up on the roof or into the space and photographs what is there. You see the photos. No sales pitch.
You get a fixed price in writing
For carports and verandahs we draw it in CAD and show you a 3D picture. Every job gets a written quote with the scope and inclusions spelled out.
We handle approvals and book a date
Where council approval or engineering is needed, we prepare and lodge it. Then we book a start date and tell you what to expect each day.
Our own crew does the work
Licensed trades, on site when we said, working to the quoted scope. If something unexpected turns up we stop and speak to you first.
We clean up and hand it over
We clear the site, sweep the driveway and lawn for screws, and take every offcut away. Then we walk the finished job with you and pass on the maker's warranty for the materials, so you are left with a job done properly and nothing to chase up.
Questions about outdoor blinds
It depends on the size of each opening, how many blinds, the material, and whether you want them manual or motorised. We measure on site for free and give you a fixed price in writing.
You are paying for the track. It seals the edges, holds the blind wherever you stop it, and there are no ropes or zips to wear out. Blinds without a track tend to flap in the wind and let weather in at the sides.
In normal weather, yes. That is what the track seal is for. In sideways rain you might get some spray at the bottom edge, which is true of any outdoor blind.
That is the main reason people buy them. Clear PVC with the blinds down blocks the wind and holds a surprising amount of warmth.
Not much. Wipe the PVC with a soft cloth and soapy water and keep the tracks clear of leaves.
Yes, on most spans, with a remote or through your smart-home system.
